Hassan Allam Holding uses SAP applications for payroll, finance, production, procurement, and sales, and has over 4,000 widely distributed users in different locations and companies. It turned to AWS Partner FORTE CLOUD for support on its project to optimize its systems.

Hassan Allam Holding wanted a local partner with a large footprint to match the scale of its SAP estate. The company had previously worked with FORTE CLOUD and knew the SAP specialist understood the sensitivity and responsibilities of its business, which involves a lot of large and high-profile government infrastructure projects that require high levels of security. In addition, these projects typically required improvements to cloud operations—including FinOps, SysOps, UniOps and SecOps—to increase transparency around SAP spending on operations and administration.

FORTE CLOUD took control of Hassan Allam Holding’s SAP systems from its previous provider; it was a highly complex setup supporting more than 110 local and regional projects. Since taking over management, FORTE CLOUD has optimized operations, improved software, simplified storage provisioning, and increased agility. Hassan Allam Holding can now modify, upgrade, and add SAP environments easily and quickly.
Previously, these tasks required dedicated maintenance time slots, and involved considerable expense and time lost for both IT staff and business users. Since the changeover, the company has seen a 45 percent improvement in SAP performance and has not experienced any security-related incidents or breaches. “We cannot deal with downtime without stopping work at hundreds of sites across the region, and now we don’t have to,” says Kouriem. “We can almost instantly replicate servers or increase other capabilities—scalability was a big driver for the move.”
